The micromax A85, micromax's answer to dual core phones may be very close to get released. It is possible that it will be released around the Diwali festival season
to not only take on other dual core phones but also other phones because of its low price point.
It is rumored that it will be sold at a price point of 20,000 Rs. a hefty 4500 Rs. less than the closest dual core smartphone the LG optimus 2x. (images after the specifications)
Rumored specifications :
- Android 2.2 “FroYo” - This is a big letdown! android 2.3 was expected
- nVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor
- 3.8 inch display - manageable for this price point
- 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera - no flash for the rear camera
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- FM tuner
- microSD card slot - The card support isrumored to be upto 32 GB
- High graphic game support
UPDATE: It has now come to our notice that the micromax A85 may be priced even lower than 20,000 it can be ranging from 16,000 Rs. to 18,500 Rs.! (hmm... nice price point for a feature packed phone).
Also there is an illuminating feature in the camera which can partially increase the quality of photos clicked without the flash!
