Today HCL (hindustan computers limited) has announced its new android based tablet the Me X1 in New Delhi. It is powered by a 1Ghz processor and comes with android 2.3 aka
gingerbread. This new iteration is very attractively priced and also has good specifications when compared to other tablets in the market.
It also comes pre loaded with some apps such as the Think free office and also a 'Me app store' a Hcl Me tablets only appstore! It will also support 3G dongles for on the go internet connectivity.
UPDATE: The hcl me x1 won't support the android market but still you can get them working on the tablet from other methods
